New law firm and a familiar face in the Big Apple

Skyline of New York City

Long-time Eurojuris International member Tobias Ziegler has joined Stinson LLP in the firm’s New York office. Stinson, a full-service law firm with 450 attorneys in 13 offices across the United States, delivers in-depth knowledge, experience and practical guidance across multiple industries and practices.

Ziegler specializes in cross-border corporate and commercial transactions for internationally operating companies, family offices and investors from Europe, Asia and Latin America. He said Stinson’s capabilities in various specialty areas, nationwide geographic footprint and personalized approach all factored into his decision to join the firm together with his team.

“My clients typically require a full-service law firm with diverse capabilities in the U.S., and I knew the depth of Stinson’s bench would appeal to them,” Ziegler said. “But just as importantly, they want to preserve that personal touch, a relationship attorney who really looks out for their interests and who follows and keeps them apprised of all their matters.”

For Ziegler, who frequently acts as trusted U.S. general counsel for his clients, it was important that Stinson shared his dedication to personalized and exceptional client service.

“Investing in relationships is how Stinson minimizes risk and realizes opportunities for clients,” he said. “They understand their clients’ industries and business practices and offer advice that is in line with the clients' culture and values. That’s crucially important when representing international clients with diverse perspectives.”

Ziegler has spent 12 years honing his reputation within the International Business Group (IBG), the M&A, Corporate and Restructuring Practice Group, and across the wider Eurojuris International network. Now, he looks forward to introducing new Stinson colleagues to old Eurojuris friends.

“Among other areas, Stinson’s corporate, international trade, tax, intellectual property, and employment and immigration capabilities rival much larger firms. These are specialties every international client expanding or investing in the U.S. looks for,” Ziegler said.

Ziegler said he is excited about the value proposition Stinson represents for current and future clients. “Stinson’s corporate finance bench is one of the strongest in the Midwest, with a fee structure that’s accessible to clients abroad,” Ziegler said. “Our rates are even more competitive when you consider Stinson’s ever-expanding presence on the U.S. East Coast. Just this year, we’ve moved into a new, larger New York office in the financial district, grown our antitrust practice in Washington, DC, and opened a new office in Tampa, Florida, with 10 new attorneys. These are all markets rich with investment opportunities for international clients.”

Delighted to immediately rejoin Eurojuris International, Ziegler said he is looking forward to further introducing his new professional home to what he refers to as his "Eurojuris family and friends" at the upcoming Eurojuris International Congress in Rome.

Says Eurojuris International President Olivier Vibert, “We are delighted to welcome Tobias back into our network family and extend a warm reception to the team from Stinson LLP. Witnessing a group of accomplished lawyers join our ranks is truly a pleasure. Their addition not only enhances our collective expertise but also bolsters our presence in the American continent, complementing the contributions of our existing United States members.”
